How soon into Colorado can you see mountains traveling on west on I-70 from Kansas border?
I'm taking my family out west (from St. Louis) and just curious when we can start seeing mountains.

A-Best: You'll be about 50 miles east of Denver when you can first make out those great mountains. Depends on whether the air is hazy or crisp, too.
A: You can see them on the far horizon in about one hour. They are just west of Denver.
